Graphing coordinates4/3/2024 A grid which has two perpendicular lines, or axes, labeled like number lines. How do you identify coordinate points on graphs?Ĭoordinate graphing is the type of graphing in which visual methods are used to show the relationships on a coordinate grid. Positive y values allow it to rise, negative y values cause it to fall. The y value will be the rise or fall of the point. Negative x values push it to the left and positive values move it to the right. The x value will be the trajectory left or right of the origin. In an ordered pair you will find two coordinates in the format (x, y). The bold vertical (up-down) line is where you will find the y-axis. The horizontal (left-right) line is the realm of the x-coordinate.
